Covid 19

During the current situation 2nd Strood have been holding meeting online each week. The Boys' Brigade also launched an initiative known as BB @ Home which involved giving all the young people links to ideas for fun activities they could do at home during lockdown.  To see some of the things Ethan did please click the button below. We are now working hard to try and organise face to face meetings.  These meetings will not be as we know them and we will be taking stringent precautions to protect all the young people and our officers.  This may mean meeting in smaller groups and at different times. Parents and carers will be updated with information as soon as we have it and we will also post updates here.

With the sudden increase in the infection rate with the omicron variant we have had to look again ay our meetings. Anchors and Juniors meet in the church where there is not a lot of space and that age group do not need to wear masks.  This makes our officers somewhat wary especially as they are all teachers and are meeting with lots of other youngsters on a daily basis. It has therefore been decided that form this term Anchors and Juniors will meet online. Company and Seniors wear masks and meet at Wainscott School where there is more space.  We have therefore decided that they can continue to meet face to face.
